How to run Windows installation for your personal computer on your own with the help of this steps
Windows is the most popular computer operating system being used worldwide and you may need to learn how to run windows information on your personal computer.
You’re going to need some few tools and a working computer as we cover the steps involved one by one and with their tools.
How to run windows installation
Firstly, you’ll need to have the windows installation image or disk (DVD).
Using the disk (DVD)
You have to download the windows installation Image onto the computer first. You will have a wide range of Windows to choose from.
We are omitting Windows XP from this tutorial and it will be covered on a different topic. Windows XP is too old and actually been out of the computing system for long.
Leaving Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 available for us now.
Meanwhile, Windows 10 is the latest of all Windows Operating Systems. Therefore it will be much better to have the latest version of Windows installed if you have the hardware or any modern computer.
Windows 10 should also be the most secured Operating System among them because Microsoft still works on fixing security bugs on it rather than the abandoned old Windows who do not get security updates anymore.

Also, you’ll need an Image Burner installed on your working computer in other to burn or convert it into a DVD.

Now that you have your Windows Installation on a DVD, We can go ahead and run our Windows Installation to our target computer
Firstly, insert the DVD into the CD ROM of your target Computer and shut it down
Press the power button and start pressing the boot menu key immediately after the power button
You can check on the boot menu keys for the various computers from this link
You’ll now see an option to boot from your DVD Drive.
Press that and our installation begins
Using a bootable USB
You will need a flash drive with at least 8 gigabytes capacity to run the Windows Image onto it.
Then you have to download a light weight application called rufus.
There are tons of applications to make a bootable USB drive but the one that I usually use is the rufus software which works perfectly for me. So I haven’t had the chance to use many others aside using power iso before.
Run Rufus with administrative privilege
Then just select your USB drive to run the image onto.
You will also select the image file, which is the Windows installation Image that you downloaded from the link earlier.
Click on Start to get the USB ready for Windows Installation. This is going to take about 7 minutes to prepare the USB drive depending on the speed of your computer and the USB itself.
When this is done, you can now turn of the target computer and continue with the part where we start the installation from the boot menu
Starting the Windows Installation
Click on the hard drive you want to format and format it. This is where the Windows files are going to be installed to.
Click on “Next” to continue the installation.
Now, wait for the process to be completed When you see this image below, that means you’re almost done with the installation.
Completing the Windows Installation
You are now to key in your person details and wait for the process to be done. Congratulation you have successfully run a Windows Installation
